Hinode Boki Seisakusho

Hinode Boki Seisakusho
This factory, an automotive company, was founded in Nagoya City in 1918 under the name of Hinode Jidosha. However, since automobile manufacturing was not progressing as expected, in 1920, the company changed its name to Hinode Boki Seisakusho, a limited partonership company, and began manufacturing spinning machines, spindles, etc. At the time, it was a large factory by Nagoya standards, boasting advanced technology. So,it was seen as a training factory for young technicians. It was also a target of labor disputes. This exhibit is a partial restoration of the grinding division of the factory, and the machinery is from the Taisho (1912-26) and early Showa (1926-45) periods and is still operable.
